Business Development Highlight

Globe 2014

In March, a group of businesses and organizations from Newfoundland and Labrador took part in a global green economy conference in Vancouver, BC – GLOBE 2014. The project was delivered in partnership by the Department of Business, Tourism, Culture and Rural Development (IBRD); the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA); and, the Newfoundland and Labrador Environmental Industry Association (NEIA).

GLOBE is an international conference with thousands of participants from dozens of countries exploring opportunities in the environmental sector. Through participation in the mission, NL organizations gained valuable international exposure, promoted their firms at the Atlantic Canadian trade booth, benefited from dedicated matchmaking services, and developed targeted business relationships. For more information on international business development opportunities specific to the Environmental Sector, contact Susan Vaughan (709) 729-4435.
